The demo 1 comes from Canadian quartet Tracenine, who've garnered airplay from various radio stations and been plugging their trade since 1999.
Review
The promo blurb claims Tracenine have drawn comparisons to Metallica from fans, though the Disturbed comparisons are marginally more credible. This is especially apparent on opening track “Ready to Roll”, with vocalist Rahn churning the lyrics in a pseudo-rap fashion. Each song has been designed specifically for live crowds to recite the lyrics back to the group, which could be possible if suited to an individual's tastes. The radio friendly, accessible rock may appeal to some palettes, though may be dismissed by others looking for heavier, more intense music.
A skilled producer may give the songs that ferocious bite currently lacking on the unmixed versions - as we speak, a 13 song CD cut at Ignition Sound Studios under the wing of KOIL (Peter Boshart) is currently being shopped to interested labels, so we can all but hope.
